INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, Feb. 8 -- The Indiana Senate Republicans issued the following news release:
A bill authored by State Sen. Mark Messmer (R-Jasper) that would set up regulatory framework for advance recycling businesses in Indiana passed the Senate with a bipartisan vote of 44-5 Monday.
Senate Bill 472 is a follow-up to House Enrolled Act 1226, passed in 2022, which established a waste diversion pilot project in central Indiana.
