WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following news release on Dec. 22, 2022, and letter:

Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today questioned eight major automakers over reports that their supply chains may include materials sourced from the Xinjiang region of China, where forced labor is rampant. Importing goods made with forced labor violates federal trade laws.
