WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Oregon, issued the following news release:

Oregon's U.S. Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden announced that Oregon is receiving $39,664,611 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to improve critical public health infrastructure serving Oregonians and $2,347,258 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.
