ARLINGTON, Virginia, Nov. 23 (TNSgov) -- The Institute for Justice issued the following news release on Nov. 21, 2022:

The Institute for Justice (IJ) submitted an amicus brief in the Lake County, Indiana, Superior Court calling for more transparency in how the state handles civil forfeiture cases. The brief argues that the state's redacting basic information on documents in civil forfeiture cases likely violates Indiana open records laws.
