LONDON, England, Feb. 1 -- Article 19 issued the following news release:
Journalist Maria de Lourdes Maldonado Lopez was murdered outside her home in Tijuana on 23 January. ARTICLE 19 calls for an immediate, thorough and independent investigation into her death and for authorities to protect Maldonado's family, colleagues and lawyer.
