National Park Service: Tourism to White Sands National Park Creates $26.0 Million in Economic Benefits Report Shows Visitor Spending Supports 309 Jobs in Local Economy

ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico, June 11 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release on June 10, 2021:

A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 415,000 visitors to White Sands National Park in 2020 spent $22.5 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 309 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $26.0 million.
