ORLANDO, Florida, May 26 -- Rep. Val Demings, D-Florida, issued the following news release on May 25, 2021:
Today Rep. Demings (FL-10) announced $21,123,238 in AmeriCorps federal funding for Florida. These resources will go to ten successful grantees operating in Florida (supporting approximately 720 AmeriCorps members) as well as funding for Volunteer Florida, the state service commission. In Orlando, $1,439,302 of this funding will enable 146 AmeriCorps members to implement progra . . .
