WASHINGTON, May 22 -- Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, issued the following news release:
Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX) announced that the Texas General Land Office (GLO) has awarded several cities and counties in the 34th District of Texas nearly $164M for recovery aid to areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The funds were provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
