WASHINGTON, May 19 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release on May 18, 2021:
U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker today announced $43,391,818.73 in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding to support New Jersey's COVID-19 response and recovery. After Sen. Menendez's years-long push to reform how FEMA responds to disasters, last month the agency answered his call to eliminate the cost-sharing requirements for disaster grants.
