WASHINGTON, May 17 -- Sen. Christopher Murphy, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.), Chairman and Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near East, South Asia, Central Asia and Counterterrorism, on Sunday released the following bipartisan statement calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas:
"Israel has the right to defend itself from Hamas' rock . . .
