GALVESTON, Texas, May 12 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Galveston District issued the following news release:
On April 17, 2021 the Galveston District awarded the Brazos Island Harbor (BIH) Jetty and Entrance Channel Maintenance Dredging Contract with Beneficial Use Beach Placement at South Padre Island, Texas to Weeks Marine, Inc. for a total of $7,551,500.
Dredging of the BIH Jetty and Entrance Channels will remove approximately 350,000 cubic yards of sandy mater . . .
