WASHINGTON, May 4 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following article from Economics Daily:
From March 2020 to March 2021, nonfarm payroll employment decreased in 159 metropolitan areas, increased in 3 areas, and was essentially unchanged in 227 areas. The largest over-the-year percentage losses in employment occurred in Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina, Hawaii (-24.5 percent), Odessa, Texas (-16.7 percent), and Midland, Texas (-16.2 percent).
