Natural Resources Conservation Service Celebrates 5 Million Acres Enrolled in Conservation Easements

RENO, Nevada, April 10 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service Nevada office issued the following news release:
NRCS and private landowners have partnered to protect more than 5 million acres of wetlands, grasslands and prime farmlands -- an area the size of New Jersey. In Nevada, NRCS has enrolled 24,364.73 closed acres, helping to achieve this important conservation milestone.
