WASHINGTON, April 9 -- Rep. Fred Upton, R-Michigan, issued the following news release on April 8, 2021:
U.S. Rep. Fred Upton and a bipartisan, bicameral group of lawmakers today announced the Khalid Jabara and Heather Heyer National Opposition to Hate, Assault, and Threats to Equality Act (Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act). The legislation would improve hate crimes reporting and expand assistance and resources for victims of hate crimes.
