Natural Resources Conservation Service Celebrates 5 Million Acres Enrolled in Conservation Easements

PORTLAND, Oregon, April 8 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service Oregon office issued the following news release:
NRCS and private landowners have partnered to protect more than 5 million acres of wetlands, grasslands and prime farmlands -- an area the size of New Jersey. In Oregon, NRCS enrolled 107,812 acres, helping achieve this important conservation milestone.
