Natural Resources Conservation Service Celebrates 5 Million Acres Enrolled in Conservation Easements

ATHENS, Georgia, April 7 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service Georgia office issued the following news release:
NRCS and private landowners have partnered to protect more than 5 million acres of wetlands, grasslands, and prime farmlands -- an area the size of New Jersey. In Georgia, NRCS enrolled 84,107 acres, helping achieve this important conservation milestone.
