Natural Resources Conservation Service Celebrates 5 Million Acres Enrolled in Conservation Easements

LEXINGTON, Kentucky, April 6 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service Kentucky office issued the following news release:
NRCS and private landowners have partnered to protect more than 5 million acres of wetlands, grasslands and prime farmlands -- an area the size of New Jersey. In Kentucky, NRCS enrolled 6,002 acres, helping achieve this important conservation milestone.
