WASHINGTON, April 1 -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-New York, issued the following news release on March 31, 2021:

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand recommended Carla Freedman for U.S. Attorney for the Northern District. With Senator Gillibrand's historic recommendation, Ms. Freedman could be the first woman confirmed to lead the Northern District.
