WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) has sponsored the Defending Our Defenders Act. Introduced by Congresswoman Yvette Herrell (R-NM) and Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), the bill would make the murder of a police officer punishable by the death penalty or life in prison.
