WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Rep. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:
Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for H.J.Res. 17, to remove the deadline for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Larson is a cosponsor of the bill. This resolution would remove the time limit for ratification, which has prevented the progress of the ERA for decades. The ERA has been ratified by 38 states and the Constitution will be amended if this resolution is enacted. . . .
