WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Rep. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:
Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for H.R.1620, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2021 (VAWA). Under a GOP-led Congress, VAWA expired in 2018. In 2019, a Democratic-led House passed the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019 by a strong bipartisan vote. Unfortunately, the GOP-led Senate then failed to bring up the bill for a vote.
