WASHINGTON, March 3 -- Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
The House of Representatives voted Wednesday on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's election overhaul. Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) opposed the legislation due to numerous provisions that would weaken election security. The bill passed on a party-line vote of 220-210. He released the following statement after the vote:
