U.S. Representative Kathleen Rice (NY-04) and Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $71.8 million to help fund the Western Bays Resiliency Project, which will replenish tidal wetlands to prevent flooding, sewerage back-up and unhealthy living environ . . .
