WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 -- Sen. Christopher Murphy, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release on Feb. 11, 2021:
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a member of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, on Thursday voted to advance Connecticut Education Commissioner and President Joe Biden's nominee to be U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona out of the HELP Committee. His nomination will now head to the U.S. Senate floor for confirmation.
