DALLAS, Texas, Feb. 2 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics - Southwest Regional Information Office issued the following report on Feb. 1, 2021, on the Union Members in Texas for 2020:
In 2020, union members accounted for 4.9 percent of wage and salary workers in Texas, compared with 4.0 percent in 2019, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Regional Commissioner Michael Hirniak noted that the state's union membership rate was at its peak in 1993 . . .
