WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 -- Rep. Jimmy Panetta, D-California, issued the following news release on Jan. 12:
Congressman Jimmy Panetta voted for a resolution compelling Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment against President Donald Trump. Congressman Panetta cosponsored the resolution after the January 6 insurrection at the United States Capitol that was instigated by the president and his allies.
