Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement Tuesday night after refusing to comply with the new metal detector policy for Members of Congress entering the House chamber:
"The metal detector policy for the House floor is unnecessary, unconstitutional, and endangers members. I did not comply tonight. I will not comply in the future." . . .
