WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 -- Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, issued the following news release:
Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) released a statement clarifying that Congressman Allred (TX-32) stepped in to diffuse a tense situation between his colleagues on the House floor early this morning. Allred was not involved in the initial interaction between Members and can be heard on C-SPAN footage of the House floor urging his colleagues to reconsider their actions.
