NEW YORK, Jan. 5 -- The American Kennel Club issued the following news release on Jan. 4:
The American Kennel Club (AKC(R)), the world's largest purebred dog registry and leading advocate for dogs, announced today that the Biewer Terrier has received full recognition, and is eligible to compete in the Toy Group. This addition brings the number of AKC-recognized breeds to 197.
