NEW YORK, Dec. 24 -- The Committee to Protect Journalists issued the following news:

Chadian authorities should refrain from conducting police raids on news outlets and should thoroughly investigate allegations that journalist Blaise Noubarassem was assaulted by police and intimidated by a government official, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.
