WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- Rep. Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
On Monday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act. Several legislative efforts led by Rep. Arrington were included in the final package and will be signed into law.
"The Rural Step-Down Model will save hundreds of rural hospitals, including many in West Texas. Hospitals should have the ability to identify the services their community needs . . .
