WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 -- Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas, issued the following news release on Dec. 22:
With bipartisan support, Congress yesterday approved a year-end funding package, which included Reps. Jose Serrano (D-N.Y.) and Will Hurd's (R-Texas) legislation, the National Museum of the American Latino Act. The bill takes the first step in establishing the National Museum of the American Latino within the Smithsonian Institution.
