WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 -- Rep. Nita M. Lowey, D-New York, chairwoman of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following news release on Dec. 20:
House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita M. Lowey (D-NY) today introduced a continuing resolution to extend federal government funding an additional day to allow year-end spending legislation to be adopted.
