WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed legislation authorizing the Army Corps of Engineers to construct additional obstacles at the Brandon Road Lock and Dam in Illinois that would prevent the spread of Asian carp.
The legislation also increases the percentage of funding in the national Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund that must go towards the Great Lakes, from 10 percent to 1 . . .
