NEW YORK, Dec. 9 -- The Committee to Protect Journalists issued the following news on Dec. 8:

Malian authorities should immediately and unconditionally release journalists Adama Diarra and Seydou Oumar Traore from custody and allow them to report freely, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.
