WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 -- Rep. Robert E. Latta, R-Ohio, issued the following news release on Dec. 8:
Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) and several of his colleagues sent a letter to Administrator Howard Elliott of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), urging him to reaffirm the fitness for service of Enbridge's Line 5 pipeline and to clarify that PHMSA, not the state of Michigan, is the exclusive regulator of Line 5's safe operation and maintenance.
