Several months after COVID-19 forced Ron Panzok into a coma, his energetic spirit continues to surface.
The 66-year-old Queens resident contracted the coronavirus during the height of the patient surge in New York in March. He spent several weeks at North Shore University Hospital, having "virtual visits" with his family -- all of which he can't remember.
