Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry released a report that veterans serving at former Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Mich. were exposed to carcinogenic Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC):
