NEWARK, New Jersey, Nov. 18 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Craig Carpenito, issued the following news release on Nov. 17:
A former New Jersey resident today admitted participating in an investment scheme through which he fraudulently obtained $1.525 million from at least three families from 2017 through 2019, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.
Matthew Benjamin, 53, formerly of Englewood, New Jersey, and now of New York, pleaded guilty by vide . . .
