Committee to Protect Journalists: Police Arrest, Fine Journalists Covering Protests in Russian Far East

NEW YORK, Nov. 17 -- The Committee to Protect Journalists issued the following news on Nov. 16:

Russian authorities should immediately release all journalists detained while covering recent protests, and ensure that the press can cover demonstrations freely, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today.
