Arkarup Banerjee joins Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) in November 2020 as an assistant professor, working in the field of neuroscience. He studies how the brain processes sensory information to produce motor outputs enabling vocal communication. He focuses on the Alston's singing mouse, a species of mouse with the interesting behavior of calling back and forth to each other.
