BUFFALO, New York, Nov. 5 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York, James P. Kennedy Jr., issued the following news release on Nov. 4:
U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Omar Vera-Velazquez, 23, of Jamestown, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo to possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $250,000 fine. . . .
