NEW YORK, Oct. 22 -- The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund issued the following news release on Oct. 21:
On a press call today, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D. N.Y., Senator Cory Booker, D. N.J., and civil rights leaders urged the Senate Judiciary Committee to reject Judge Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. The committee is scheduled to take a vote to advance her nomination tomorrow.
