NEW YORK, Oct. 15 -- Human Rights Watch issued the following news release:

In the coming weeks, 189 countries from around the world will elect 23 members to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW committee) for the 2021-2024 term.
