WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following news release on Aug. 3:

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today sent a letter to Defense Secretary Mark Esper raising concerns about the Department of Defense's (DOD) overt religious discrimination, specifically pointing to the DOD's decision to remove Lt.
