WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, issued the following statement after the Democrat-led House passed the second set of Appropriations packages for fiscal 2021:

"Our national security and military are not bargaining chips.

"Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats have once again pushed partisan legislation, adding unrelated provisions and using political games to prevent necessary funds from reaching our servicemembers and their families.
