WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Michigan, issued the following statement:
Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) released the following statement on the Food and Drug Administration announcing the voluntary phase-out by industry of a single PFAS chemical used, in food packaging. Manufacturers of the food packaging that contain the PFAS chemical have a 3 year phase out timeline and an additional 18 months to sell existing stock of the product.
