WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement regarding President Trump's suggestion that the presidential election should be delayed in November:
"Donald Trump and William Barr have no authority to delay the election. Any attempt to do so would be unprecedented and unconstitutional.
I agree we must work to secure the election. In order to do that, we must provide the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the U.S. Postal Servi . . .
