WASHINGTON, July 31 -- Sen. Bob Menendez, D-New Jersey, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following joint statement on July 30 with Sen. James Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, on the death of Lee Teng-hui, Taiwan's first democratically elected president:
