WASHINGTON, July 30 -- Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement on the changes to the U.S. force posture in Europe:
"The Administration's plans to redistribute U.S. forces across Europe are complex and will have long-lasting consequences.
"While some of the proposed moves clearly have merit, other aspects - such as an arbitrary limits to the number of troops stationed in cert . . .
